Hi,
Does anyone know of any companies in yorkshire (preferable in or near Bradford/Leeds) that will supply the materials and custom make steel parts relatively cheaply? or does anyone have the facilities to do it themselves (would obviously pay.)
Im after a lump of steel, square shaped, sized 350mm x 350mm, approx 20mm thick. The part needs a 22mm dia hole positioned dead centre and several other smaller holes making too (for which i can give the required measurements.)
Any help would be greatly appriechiated.

To be honest, the first words that sprung to mind was actually laser cutting. But waterjet seems to be more common when it comes to robot related stuff, hence why I mentioned it.

They were very helpful and did a good job for us cutting out the parts for our hydraulic and pneumatic jaws, and chassis. (see photo on profile)
Just bear in mind that cutting through 20mm thick material you will get a slight taper/ angle to the cut as it goes through the metal. Give them a ring anyway, as mentioned I found them very helpful.
They can also supply the material and for us we found it was also a good price.
