      Hey,

unsure which way to go tbh i was thinking of something like the old firestorm robot so probably low pressure i would have thought

        Re: pneumatic rams

I would guestimate a 100*150 LP ram in Firestorm.

            Re: pneumatic rams

I fear a new ram of that size from a shop will be hidiously expensive.

Best bet is to monitor eBay, a new ram that size will set you back hundreds. Alternatively I do have 125mm bore 250mm stroke ram that you could shorten

                Re: pneumatic rams

By the way, a few years ago I was quoted £340+vat for a new 100 by 150 ram.

If you choose FP, ive got a 63x125 single acting ram

                      Re: pneumatic rams

might be worth seeing what size these are

                      http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BUS-COACH-AIR ... 228wt_1270

                      http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SMC-AIR-CYLIN ... 077wt_1037

alternatively you could use to smaller 50 bore rams together

                        Re: pneumatic rams

2 50 bore rams is not as powerful as a single 100mm bore unfortunately, you'd need 4. pm sent about the ram btw.

                          Re: pneumatic rams

If your looking at a front hinged, UFO uses 2x 63mm bore 200mm stroke low pressure rams. I have a feeling Firestorm were 50mm bore rams (2 of), Envy did run a single 100bore ram. It all depends how much power you want.
