      Re: NPC-02446 Motor

About 2/3ths of the power of a Bosch.

      With a 10 wheel, a 14 to 1 gearratio sounds fine.

3/4 bhp each but at 4000rpm aint too bad. Since im using a flipper, speed is more what im after rather than pushing power

          Speed is fun.

But to have speed, you need power.
If you disagree, why do have all fast cars a load of HP?

If you use a lower power motor (and bosch 750 @36V is mid power in thesadays), you have the 2 following options. High end speed but lousy acceleration and high amp draw, or reasonable acceleration and amp draw

              Re: NPC-02446 Motor

Join the club, 11 years ago I had the same feeling, when I started Roboteering.

But after some experiments, our heavies are using Bosch 750's. Except Bullfrog Breed, that uses Iskra AMG 800W motors. Heavier than a bosch 750, but more rugged construction.

Try Iskra Motors, they do a1.2kw 24v DC motor

No Idea for the NCC's, but I know a Sidewinder does the job fine @36V.
This with 10 wheels and a 20-1 gearratio.

well i know they are ok on bosch 750's at 24v but without knowing the draw of them, i cant tell if they would be ok

                          Re: NPC-02446 Motor

if geared correctly the npc motor on 36v should work fine moving your bot about at a reasonable speed. the iskras should also work with the 4qd ncc70s as to the best of my knowledge the ncc70's can take up to 100amps.

i believe that withour modifying, the 4qd's can only do 24v

I believe it's just adding a resistor of changing one to make a NCC 36V capable.

Otherwise, a Wotty, Sidewinder or a pair of Mytras or Victors will do the job in a reasonable pricetag.
