    Re: heavyweight ram bots?

Just a shame there aren't any Bosch 400s on eBay for £5 each like there were four years ago

But from what I've heard, the 400s don't like being over-volted to anything above 18V (Chaos 2 seems to be the exception) so if you're wanting to over-volt to get more power, the 750s are definitely the better option. That and the fact they're generally more powerful.

I probably will once I physically have toxic.

Just out of curiosity, what are both those motors actually built for? By that I mean what job are they intended for?

Yeah but most of Chaos 2's bout lasted seconds thanks to them always OOTA-ing so the motors always lasted!

I do believe on their site they stated a Bosch 400 at 24v wasn't much different from the 750.

              Re: heavyweight ram bots?

bosch 400 at 24v is 1.6kw (over double the power of a bosch 750) at 18v it is at about the same as a bosch 750

why not just run a 750 at around 30v?

to me, for the sake of an extra 1.2kg its worth it, but if your really having to watch the weight, then i guess its worth it

                      Re: heavyweight ram bots?

More batteries are required aswell so there is weight added there

i guess if you are really watching the weight then the 400's are good but im not too fussed since i have the mounts for 750's and it was run with them originally
