cutting chequer plate

Hi got some 3mm chequer plate ali to cut, never worked with ali before, can it just be cut on a low speed with a jigsaw.
is their anything i need to be careful of.

yeh i think it will be fine cutting it that way, what are you using it for btw?
also an angle grinder is fine to use just be warned angle grinding the stuff tends to shcuk larger 'lumps' of ali up compared to steel

and use lubricant or you'll clog your blades up (Y)

ok cheers, its actually for a off road 4x4, my mate was asking and i had no idea, but told him i know where i can ask!!
