  • Building my first Heavyweight

    Hello
For starters i just want to say that im from Sweden so my English isn€™t too good. But any way now i am building my first heavyweight I€™ve build a feather before so im not new to the sport. im only 15 but im building the whole robot on my own I even welding the frame on my own. So far I just started to weld the frame and fixed some smaller things on it, here is a picture of how far i came so far http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a30/erik_knutsson/?action=view&current=DSCF0331.jpghttp://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a30...rrent=DSCF0331 .jpg the frame isn€™t ready yet i just need some more material for it. But now I just want some advice on what weapon is the easiest to build I been thinking on some kind of lifter maybe? And any other advice for me would be great.

    Erik.

            Erik,

The simplest weapon you can have is the shape of the robot itself. For example a wedge.

If you are looking to build a robot with an active weapon then a lifter powered by a linear actuator may be your easiest bet.

What weapon did your featherweight have?
