We fought with/against S3 in the first round of series 6. They took a huge chunk out of the side of our robot (Armadrillo). This was the fight that the destroyed Shredders discs and i can remember the parts flying around the area and hitting the screen right in front of my face. Kinda put me off for a second. Awesome robot and not to be taken lightly.
If you here the talks over S3 breakdown, I would be interested in making a serious offer for S3 and bring it to North America to kick some US arse.

maybe spinner should be put up against demo bots in some shows, bots that have been built to be destroyed, give the audience there money worth as watching 3 pusher bots can be come boring at times if your at a all day event, could spice things up and bring in money if there allowed.
I agree with you ant, i see no reason why a robot with a demo weapon that spins, specifically designed for special effects not damage, could not fight a pre-rehearsed battle with a comedy clowns car type robot, designed to come apart in safe sized pieces.
Done correctly, there would be no safety issues in any of the current arenas. Think of it as a special effects show rather than a fight.
