Would sponge on top of a featherweight come under Entanglement devices?

Are we talking your common or garden bath sponge here.. or something like high density neoprene foam?
(Or even some of Jennys sponge cake...That stuff could pass as reasonable armour!!)

Dont think that would fall foul of rule 12.2.1
But I cant see what advantage you would gain from having something that soft on your machine.

Could try mounting metal/plastic plates atop a foam/sponge layer for ultimate super-spinner impact absorbtion, but chances are itd just get torn to pieces...

i think that when it comes off and gets stuck in the opponent it could be considered an entanglement weapon

If your machine cant deal with a bath sponge, then I think you need to seriously consider if your machine has any business being in the arena in the first place!!!

Ummm... Maybe something for an axe to retract on? Its not very technical but it sure is cheap.
