For my motor lights I am using the little LEDS with the circuit boards from the cheapo Argos drills, wired into a XT60 passthrough: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turnigy-XT...I/141950228214 . It works well, but I am probably a bit spoilt because I just realised I don't know how I'll replace them when they get mashed by spinners.

I do have one spare, but once they break I'll be a bit stuck. Is there a ready made source of something similar or do I need to solder something up? I am on 4s lipo.

edit: sorry, missed the word lights off the title

Ooh, I might have answered my own question again. These are pretty!

Although you say ready made, if you want to make your own, typically a 330 ohm resistor will be suitable with most LEDs connected to your supply link with 4s.

If you want to be specific you can find the forward voltage and current on an led and calculate, and this will be a heck of a lot cheaper too.

For blue or white LED's they usually have higher forward voltages but 330 - 390 ohm resistor will be good.

Cheers. I had the drill ones just lying round so I used them but I should probably plan for when I run out.

I am desperately trying to remember my one electronics class many years ago. If I make my own the resistor would go on the positive (red) wire, right?

It wouldn't matter, however common practise is to put the resistor on the positive side before the LED
