FW Weapon like Nuts

As title, I’m half way through building a FW with a couple of feet of chain either side and a spiky weight on the end. Idea being when it whizzes round it hits stuff. Will this be ok as it’s a genuine idea for a weapon as I don’t know of another FW like it, or will I not be allowed to fight under the Entanglement rules? Need to check before I go any further.

There was mention of deployment in the 1m entanglement, so need to see the rules to determine if it's a passive 1m or an active interpretation

You also need to make sure the chains don't entangle the two robots together, that was part of the rules. If you get them snarled up in the opponent, you need to be able to either jettison them or have them break off.

Decided I'm just not gonna go there and take the risk. Will look at another weapon.

Bear in mind that the new entanglement rules only apply to Robot Wars. The FRA build rules still rule out entanglement so you can't try it at live events.
