  • Adding a throttle spring to a DX6i

Has anyone had any experience of adding a self-centering spring to a Dx6i?

I prefer to use the left stick for throttle and the right for direction and it of course comes with no self-centering on the the throttle stick. I could rob one from the aierolon , but prefer to add one instead.

I've heard of kits, but not found any, so have printed out the arm and the spring holder, now i need to source the spring and pins to hold it in place. Has anyone done it this way and where can you get a suitable spring ?

the only thing I have done is swap the modes (mode 2 to mode 1 I think!)
Just followed the youtube video and reprogrammed things
The pin is a standard hardened pin and I had to make one as the carpet monster got one of mine
Little springs - I think Maplin do a mixed box

Contact the spectrum UK distributor and ask for the parts. I got them sent free of charge and found the tutorial online to fit them although this was a few years ago now

after sourcing the parts and taking apart my TX it turns out they are fitted already with all the necessary components!!!

Just the spring adjuster is wound right in, so relaxing that and adjusting the spring tension and i have spring centered dx6i throttle control !!
