Axe Chain/Belt

Looking into running a 12v Argos drill for a featherweight axe. What's the best chain/drive belt method for this?

I was told that Drills wouldn't handle the impacts instead most people use a scooter motor

Don't use chain to connect an Argos drill to an axe, the forces will go straight back through it and shear off the pins inside the gearbox. I know from personal experience. Belts probably wouldn't be much better unless there was a fair degree of slip but you'd likely lose effectiveness as a result.

As James mentioned, scooter motors are a much better option and I find it easier to use them for an axe. You can run a chain transmission on them no bother, as demonstrated by Hatchet and Onyx and you get a much faster and much more powerful axe.
