Hi there,
Me and a former colleague are wanting to piece together a featherweight. I've had a quick look round at some off the shelf gearboxes and noticed the ranglebox motors and matching gearboxes.
Does anyone have any experience of using the RB-775-18v motor in featherweight competition? Would two of these with the matching gearboxes be appropriate for a featherweight? Or possibly overkill?
Also, I was thinking screwing the gearbox directly to a board of HDPE and using aluminium nutstrip to hold together the angles and work as a basic chassis.
Could this work, or do people think it would be a little to fragile?
Cheers,
Gary Mc
