Featherweight Events

Hi everyone.

First up apologies if this should have been in the Live Events section, but since it was specific to feathers, I though I would stick it in here.

Many years back, I used to have a few antweights that I competed with, and after watching the recent series of BB and RW, I've been bitten by the bug again. This time I'm thinking of a featherweight and I have been having a good read of the build rules and of lots of the threads in here. I have started kicking around ideas for a featherweight drum spinner, however after reading some of the threads I noticed a few people comment that the spinners were only able to run at one or two events per year.

I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is still the case before I commit to my design. Roughly how many feather events are there every year and how many can the spinners run at? I have seen the calendar for the live events, but I can't see anything there about arenas or what weapons are allowed but I may well be missing something!

Every live event (Heavyweight event) runs feathers but does not allow feather spinners. Only the robochallenge feather events allow spinners (Of which there are 1-2 a year).

Thanks for clarifying that Shakey. Maybe worth a re-think of the design then for my first one.
