    I am just interested to know as I have seen a lot of people using drill motors and gearboxes to power feather weights, I just wondered would anything like this have enough power?

    Looking at the specs, the simple answer is no. I'd save your money and go buy a couple of £12.99 drills from argos.

      Yes, I think the pictures are maybe a bit deceptive, they are pretty small. Those motors would probably work for a beetleweight, as I've been looking at similar options for mine recently, although even in that case most people seem to use the 1000rpm motors from China.

        The small Chinese 1000rpm motors are used in a way smaller weightclass.

        Those drives can't take the strain of pushing a feather at a decent speed. Maybe if you use 10 in centipede setup, but that's never been done.

          Sorry that didn't quite come out as intended, I ment fine for beetleweight, way too small for feather.
