  • Paintball adapter

Hello, I've recently started building my first ever robot,

so far ive made the chassis from aluminium, used 18v drill motors and gear box, ran from 12v batteries, my ESC at sorted, and receiver, and that's all working better than I had thought, being my first build!

im going to have a pneumatic flipper, the tank I've got is a 0.8 litre Zen paint balling tank, I've got a gauge and regulator, the only thing I'm struggling with is finding a filling to take it from the one it is, which I assume is the standard paintball tank, to a normal size thread, I've had a search through the posts on here, and a Google, but I'm struggling to find a fitting that isn't from China.

if getting the right fitting has a built in gauge and regulator, if be more than happy to replace the ones I've got!

    Thank you!

Pirtek got me a fitting this month when i left the bottle with them, can also buy a filling rig off the internet which will some with useful attachments like ball valves and a main bottle adaptor - however they pipes can be abit long to use.

I looked at the filling rigs, but I thought that I'd still be left with an attachment at the end of it that I'd still struggle finding coupling for, if I could get it from the thread it currently is, over too a standard sort of size, like a 1/2" bsp I'd have the rest of the pneumatics sorted

Which regulator do you have? We need to know the output thread of the regulator to be able to tell you which adapter to get.

We can't help, unless you tell, show us your set up. Explain what do you want to achieve?

I've got three or four regulators, the one I'm planning on using is a 10mm thread. I've got all sorts of couplings to get to most sizes from any Bsp so once I've got the tank over to any bsp thread I'll be sorted for it

I'm not understanding what you need exactly, please explain yourself better and include some photos. If you're using a paintball tank you'll be better off using a paintball regulator as that will fit straight on. The thread on the tank is a CGA320 thread, which is compatible to a 1/2"BSP thread.

He is making it tricky isn't he Chris 😉. I'm going to guess at this http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/271100014437.
Sam if there's one person to get help from its Chris. Post up pictures or a design, then we can help.

That's right Gabriel, cant make out what he needs, if its a filling station you'll find loads of them on ebay, all will fit to a paintball tank pin valve fitting. With the fitting you linked, he can remove the pinvalve and use the tank as a buffer.
I hope Sam knows what he's doing tho... to fill a paintball tank no regulators are needed because you fill directly into the paintball bottle, and the paintball bottle must be complete with its pinvalve and burstdisk - I got a feeling you're trying to fill the bottle through the regulator, which will not happen!

Other option is that he has a normal regulator, with a big nut for industrial bottles. What won't fit on the paintball bottle valve
That is easely solved. I have industrial screw valves that fit on paintball bottles.

But, if so. The normal regulators are in most cases WAY to big and heavy for a featherweight.
