Suitable hinge

Hi, I'm looking for lengths of strong hinge I can cut up to put round the edge of a feather and wondered if anyone could recommend something pretty strong. I'm building something four wheel drive that looks a bit like Dr Inferno Jr. so need something to make the skirts out of.
