  • Anubis the new Devil-Crew Feather...

    As discussed shortly in...

    http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/thre...hallenge/page5

Thread, I'm building a new Feather, this was planned from the beginning for the English Championships...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_zDLNbwK3k

inspiring enough, this ingenious Trailer, but the fights in Germany are also not without, you can see it here...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps4elS_39m8

but for me the English Championship has always been a special incentive, next year it will now be so far, and I would like to be there when the old base serves me Caliope...

The new name of the Bot...

The first step in the reconstruction of the bot redesign of the chassis...

For driving I use the Alien 4260 Sensored Outrunner brushless motor 300KV 1500W...

    http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/42m...r-300kv-1500w/

whit the Controllers Turnigy TrackStar GenII 120A...

    https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...Truck_ESC.html

I drive this with 4S, at a reduction ratio of 1:8 the Speed of the Bot is so 10,60 km/h or 6.59 mph!

Pictures coming soon, i build this on this Weekend...

the Weapon is Ready vor Fight, the bot must only driving, so there is not much to do until the World Cup!

A little update from my Robot...

It is with great strides, every weekend towards the finish, I was currently very much on schedule at the beginning of January to make the first test drives!

        Here the Ready Gear Ratio...

The function, Sorry in German the Video was for the German GRA Forum...

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CDPAoOlboM

All in and the Ready Ground Plate...

Today I have everything primed and varnished, looks good Metallic Gold...

Tomorrow will be assembled, on Monday I start the bot to wiring, controllers are already there, batteries come until after Christmas, but are already ordered, so should I early January can make tests when all he is fit already finished for the World Cup!

"Looks like a fish... moves like a fish... steers like a cow."

As above, it looks incredible but I know from the vids and build threads that it steers about as well as a drag liner due to the very heavy rear end. Hopefully there is a way to rectify that. We need a robot that looks great and can kick bot!

The old Caliope has his ass Literally across the floor honed, a plate of 100x100mm Complete with ground contact, me it is not surprising why the bot is not there due to taxes, would now definitely better running, the tests will show it!

                More pictures, come tomorrow!

Part of that I think stemmed from the old gearboxes and motors being unsuitable. I think with the new setup that should be reduced.

Looking very nice now, an excellent fix up/renovation

Looks a nice little package. Those motors are good (I have a couple) but they have been out of stock for a while

That ring gear looks nice ( http://info.maedler.de/article/22444800 ). I couldn't see the price. Just wondered how much they cost

                        Finish...

now I just have to wait for the batteries then I can let him drive!

For the event itself, he is still Stylish but as for the testing ranges the first!

Love the design. Interested how the blade performs. I have vague memories of Mario moving from that design

The ring gear price seems ok, something to bear in mind

We still use that design but only in horizontal spinners. There are more benefits to a ringed disc on a vertical spinner like Valkiri.

It is looking very good, I wonder how you can get it in weight though.
