  • Threaded inserts

I have been using wood screws for my featherweight. I was recently told to use threaded inserts instead. I have looked on eBay but am not too certain what to get. Can anybody give me a link to some suitable to go into 10mm dhow and do I need anything else apart from the threaded inserts?

i think you would only manage a m3 insert as the hole required for an m4 is about 6mm and they have a thread depth of about 1.5-2mm depending on which 1 you go for

also there are a push in type specifically for plastic but from what ive see they pull out after a bit off abuse

I'm probably being a bit stupid, but when I have put the threads in, I assume I don't use screws. What will I use?

Any m3 bolt should fit (or whatever size insert you get). I'm using m6 inserts and counter sunk m6 bolts on my feather.
