  • Question about snagging spinners

I've had a load of ideas about snagging some of the big blades and drums that are kicking about, but the same ideas would also work for trapping hammers n axes and stuff. I've had a read of the rules and it says you can't actively drag something behind you to ensnare someone, but how does this relate to the choices of armour we're allowed to use? If we were to use materials that will bind blades and drums up and snag hammers would this be allowed? It would be completely passive, and just used as plates on the outside of the robot and so on.

    Thoughts/ideas?

    Straight from the rules.

    12.2
    Stopping Combat
Weapons or defences, which tend to stop combat completely, of both (or more) robots. This includes, but is
    not limited to the following:
    12.2.1
    Entanglement
    Entanglement
devices such as nets, fishing line, cables, string, glues or tapes, which require the match
to be stopped and the robots separated. (If this occurs the ‘entangler’ forfeits the match.]

Unless you're willing to use very expensive kevlar fabric with very very weak polyester and claim afterwards with a straight face that it wasn't ment to bind, there ain't a lot of ways to accomplish what you propose.
