  • New speedcontroller

Ive built a little 35A 30v speedcontroller with budget being the most important thing. At the moment its on prototype board and it needs a little more work yet. At the moment it has two channels on one board for dual motor control but these are not mixed onboard. It uses two PICs, eight mosfets and a pair of mosfet drivers, it is fancooled. I envisage it measuring 80mmx55mmx50mm
Ideally I would like to program the mixing into the pics but I dont know how! Has anyone got a clue how its done?
    Thanks

As curious as I am about this venture of yours, I have almost no expertise on PIC programming.

Anything I can do to help though, let me know. Ill give it my best shot.

          Hi Rob,

What type of PICs are you using? Are you programming them yourself or using pre-supplied code?

If youve managed to program the PICs to control the MOSFET drivers from servo signals then mixing should not be much more difficult.

The pics Im using take pulsein commands to measure input pulse length and have PWM outputs so the programming speed control is easy. Im almost there now. Many thanks Rob

I know of several other roboteers who are developing FW speedos as well, so dont worry Ewean, theres plenty of competition!
