  • Grabber/lifter actators

For a design like this, would you recommend using 2 lesser power actuators or a single more powerful one?

I have the weight for 2 and am not at this time aiming to make it a proper crusher, enough to grab and keep hold and be able to lift. The key I am thinking is fast action that I just cant seem to find with a powerful actuator

Hoping for 12v running at 18v for even faster movement and with the use of 2 for a bit more force

Joining two actuators that are overvolted to power the same motion sounds like asking for trouble to me. They'll fight each other. Overvolting an actuator also doesn't sound reliable, the nature of an actuator means it's permanently stressing, I can't see how the additional torque and heat produced by the setup won't cause an early failure.

    (then again... Biohazard... ?)

I'd think the better option is to use a single linac for individual movements. If you meant using one for lift and one for grab, or one that does the lot, that's up to you.

Its designed to lift and grab through the same system, not indivudual lift and grab
