  • Argos 12v motor. Batteries??

    Hi all,

next noob question to test you patients, most probably been asked a thousand times before. I have briefly stumbled upon this question in the forum before but have seen many mixed responses,

as stated in my previous message i am building a rambot running on 2 argos 12v motors, what would be the recommended battery for running these well. I am avoiding lipo due to cost and (original drill batteries as told these are pants) am looking more towards Nimh batteries. Any recommendations?

    Thanks for your time.

id go for vapextech great value and products

    either 2 7.2v
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Vapextech-Batt ... 34.c0.m322

(the large the mah number the longer they will last, if you go for 2 of these get the same mah value)

    or a single 12v

Another option (which we have used and they're great) is www.component-shop.co.uk - they have a variety of batteries, and they can do custom packs too.

Have just browsed their website and they are very competitive on price, also with the added bonus of deans connector as an option, they have just won my custom, will be ordering batteries next week. then im almost there.

Think Jamie reccommends this one http://www.giantshark.co.uk/power-a606- ... 05325.html
charges a huge range of battery types.
It was about £40 on the giant cod.
              correct me if im wrong.
I was hoping to use drill batteries to test in my new feather and then I will decide to buy new ones probarbly.
              merry xmas all
