Last year I founded the UWE Robotics society and we had our display and stall at the 2011 event. One of the key draws for the crowd was my original featherweight prototype; you can see it at 0:29 in the video. This year attending the 2013 UK Featherweight Championships is our primary goal and it would be great to give potential members a taste of what kind of machines compete in the event to generate interest in not only the society but the sport in general in both UWE and Bristol university.
If anyone in the local area around Bristol, or further afield if you want, was willing to donate their machine to the display we would be exceptionally grateful. The machines would be static and on display for the duration of the event; see the website for more details, and would most likely encounter interaction from the public whilst being supervised by myself and the other two leading members of the society. If anyone has any further question you can PM me here.
Best Regards
