  • Bullet connectors

Hi everyone and thanks for the help so far, I've got a rather large pile of parts now I'm hoping to start assembling over the next few weeks.
I remember a discussion on here about wire connectos, as some would melt or fall off.
I didn't want to solder because it is too permanent, will bullet connectors hold together OK?

    Re: Bullet connectors

Personally I wouldnt use bullet connectors, there design is poor
Especially in fighting robots they could well pop apart

Deans connectors give a much better connection and a have a higher contact force so less likely to pop apart

      Re: Bullet connectors

I used both Deans and bullets, deans for batteries and bullet for motors so you can swap them round or swap the motors out more easily. If you're using them, make sure they are well crimped though as you don't want them coming apart, I think last time I used them I used pliers on them while they were all connected up just to get them as tight as possible then gave them a tug to make sure.

If you want something less permanent you could maybe try terminal blocks too?
