  • Sabretooth 5A chips

Can anyone tell me what the surface mount ships are on the underside of a Sabretooth 5A speed controller are? I need at least one, mine are all smudged so unreadable.
    Thanks

I have a dead 2x12 Sabertooth, is the chips turn out to be the same you're welcome to it for spares.
It's dead for an unknown reason.....

one is blown due to a short caused by me. one channel runs fine the other is half speed in one direction.

Are you talking about the mosfets? Are there 8 identical chips on the underside to the one you are having issue with?

              Re: Sabretooth 5A chips

I had a new one delivered on Saturday but its still in the box, no time to look yet due to the Memorabilia weekend (Photon went up in smoke in the last fight on Saturday so all my time went into repairing that). Hopefully the new Sabretooth has readable chips but I`ll get some pictures taken anyway.

                  Thanks for the link.
Looks like you can order small amounts and pay £12 shipping though.
Anyone want to do a joint order?

                      Re: Sabretooth 5A chips

I contacted Dimension Engineering through their web site and asked where I could get the bits, they only suggested Farnell in the UK but
they also offered to repair it themselves, free of charge! including posting it back to me. I only got it sent about an hour ago as I`ve been so busy but hopefully it will be back with me in a few weeks.
How is that for customer service?
I`ve just got a Sabretooth Dual 60 as well now, that wasn`t free. And no I`m not planning on blowing it up either

                        Re: Sabretooth 5A chips

The replacement is here, brand new and without terminal blocks - they asked if I wanted them leaving off to save me the bother of removing them.
A brand new controller free of charge including shipping from the US and it was my fault it went up in smoke, you just can't beat customer service like that!
