Those connectors have EC3 written on em, probably called that. Please don't join the daft question club PJ, its already pretty full You can get em on the Gimson site.

Speaking of Deans connectors, I noticed that component-shop.co.uk are selling Vapextech batteries for the same price (or a bit cheaper) as their own ebay store but with the option of having the connectors over to Deans for you instead of the Tamiya ones for nothing. I ordered a set just before new year so can't comment on the quality of their work, if they are indeed changing the connectors themselves, but from the photos it looks good.

It's not that daft, Deans have XT written on them but they're not called XT connectors now are they.

Unfortunately there isn't an emoticon that gives the finger.......

          Re: Which connectors to use?

Real Deans connectors have nothing written on em, the copies or XTs I think a lot of places call them do. They look like Deans but are made by Hobby King (I think) so probably legally they can't call them Deans even though the two are compatible with eachother.

I've actually found the XT 'deans' connectors, even though they're cheaper to source than the original deans ultra connectors (http://www.wsdeans.com/products/plugs/index.html), actually perform better both by being able to withstand a greater temperature when soldering and by having the textured surface which is easier to grip when connecting/disconnecting. Sometimes the rip-offs can out-do the originals!

                  this seems a good buy

                  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-PAIRS-EC3- ... 5ade1b005f

I just found out the the 3 in the EC3 stands for 3mm connector you also get EC5. Does anyone think these would be good for a removable link?

£4 for a pack of ten. They've got the ribs but don't have the 'XT' marks on them (not sure if that benefits PJ or Tony more :P ) and the ones that did have the 'XT' marks don't seem to be available on the site any more. Still, they're pretty cheap for the job they do.

Yeah I agree deans are the bizz. What about bulliet connectors 3mm. Does anyone know the rating for these?i was going to attach my led with bulliet connectors so when I remove my armour to fix anything inside the bot I can just un plug the led and re plug it in when putting tje armour back on.
