    Re: new robot

Ach i'll bite, explain a bit more and we'll do our best.

Some questions to consider including answers to:

    1. What materials do you want to build it with?
    2. What bits do you know how to do and what bits do you need help with/what sort of things have you done before?
    3. Do you have anything in particular you want to include in the robot
    4. What sort of tools to do you have access to

Thats a start and we'll hopefully be able to help from there

i have acess to lots of tools, all the ones ill need
        i might build with hardox,

Nor cheap, nor easy to do well.

Basic tools. Drill, (pillardrill is a big bonus), anglegrinder with cutting off and flap disks, welder or a large supply nuts and bolts.
          I might build with hardox,
Good for you, a supply of drillbits or experience with sharpening drills is recommendend.
and I can get most materials, and items.
So can everybody, that's just a question of budget.

                  Re: new robot

Electric lifter / crusher via either a linear actuatoer or a drill motor / threaded rod setup would be a good starting point i guess.
I'm doing that on my FW as pneumatics and spinners seems a bit down the road

                          Re: new robot

You will need an actuator, batteries for it and a rc switch (I use a 15a ESC for this) plus all the usual parts for a bot

                              got acces to a pillardrill,
                              any good plastics?
I prefer HDPE, less brittle than polycarbonate.

And you'll have some fun with that pillardril if all goes as plannend.
