Featherweight FP Part Sourcing

I am looking at making a FP flipper system to make a bigger version of Anticide I just have a few questions as to where to source parts.

1) I am going to use a burkert valve, is RS the best place to get them from? Or has anyone got any other suggestions for a FP valve?
2) RS sell various hydraulic fittings, are these the best type to use?
3) Does anyone have a good supplier for a small (ball) dump valve rated at 1000psi
4) Where can I find a 1000psi pressure release valve - my co2 tank has a standard burst disc, do I need to add another burst disc to my buffer tank or is a pressure release valve suitable?
5) I am looking at using copper tube for copper tube for piping to the valve with compression fittings, do the olives leak when they get cold?
6) I have a valve as below, looks like 1/4 fittings is this standard for the paintball flexiable lines?

The only viable alternative I have seen p to date is a Tjech made valve , brand Alpha. Ad it seems RS is the easiest place to buy.
I never got an in with B¼rkert Belgium, what didn't want to sell any valves to non firms.

Depends on kind of fitting, and what treads you prefer.

The burst disk on a paintball bottle is rated at 135 or 195 bar. You need a PRD- pressure release device set at 1000 psi/70 bar.

Normal plumbing copper line isn't strong enough. These pipes are burst pressure 30 bar for the 8mm version.

6) I have a valve as below, looks like 1/4 fittings is this standard for the paintball flexible lines?

1/8 NPT outlet, 1/2 NPT 14 TPI for bottlemounting. And yes, you can use standard paintball flexible lines. But I'm not that impressed about those.
I retapped the outlet with 1/8 bsp, and used a standard hydraulic coupling with steel pipe connection.

I have a valve as below, looks like 1/4

BSP / NPT Pipe thread sizes are strange to the unintiated... they have NOTHING to do with the outside diameter...rather the size applies to the nominal pipe bore.

1/4 BSP / NPT would be ...1/4ish bore and 1/2 O.D.!

Also BSP and NPT are very similar but the Americans deliberately made their threads slightly different....

From the top of my head.
1/8 bsp requires a 8.8 drill, and has an external diameter of 9.8mm
1/4 bsp 11.8mm drill, and has an external diameter of 13.2mm
3/8 bsp 15mm drill, outer diameter 16.6mm
1/2 bsp 19mm drill, outer diameter 21.2mm
3/4 bsp 24.5mm drill, outer diameter 26.7 mm

NPT is more difficult, as it is a tapered tread, that is why I don't use it if I can avoid it.

I have started buying some parts, but have a couple more questions. I was planning to use a burkert valve to fire the ram, however I have been reading up about QEVs for inputs. The only ones I have seen ready available are rated at 10-16bar. Has anyone seen a supplier of 1000psi QEVs?

There is a maximum extension speed that your cylinder can reach for a given leverage ratio and mass to be thrown..... based on Acceleration = Force / Mass and Velocity = Sqrt (2 * Acceleration * Distance travelled ).

You should then calculate the flow needed..for filling you cylinder quickly enough... from the maximum extension speed.

1000psi QEV's. Nope, no reason for industrial applications. I did build one in the foot of an experimental buffertank-ram, but it was a partial failure.
The stuff worked, but had no advantage over the conventional setups.

I guess it's possible to rebuild a 16 bar QEV to 70 bar application. But why?
