  • do i need a link for my weapon system?

I'm a little confused about this since I have a single link for my main battery system that once is out, cuts the led and the receiver (which does have a fail safe) which means my claw cant operate yet my actuator battery pack is still feeding power to my relay and my relay is still on, but again, my claws cant operate. basically, do I need another link for that system?

Why do you still have power going to the relay? There's no point surely?

thats just how the relay is made the the pack is connected directly to the relay

If you've cut the input to the power-side of the relay then it shouldn't matter, just an unusual way of doing it - people usually run relays off a BEC which will stop giving power when the link is taken out.

this is the large rc duel relay from robot market place so what ever power the acutator is (mine is 24v) i need to connect that amount of power to the relay which can handle 30v. im only a little unsure since even though it is still on, it wont be able to move and from my understanding of links is is must cut ALL power to the bot

The relay board is powered through your receiver correct? Are you using a BEC to power your receiver?
The 24V from your batteries to the power-side of the relay should be disconnected by the link. If it isn't then rewire it

ah, thats what i was thinking

but... it has 2 positive lines from the battery to the relay and 2 negative lines, so were would the link go?

I assume one relay is wired for forwards and the other for backwards? Just after the battery terminals wire the link on the positive side, attach all other wiring on the non-battery side of the link, thus the link itself serves as a bridge on the positive side. You don't need a link on the negative side
