    Hi all

Over the weekend i finally got round to refitting everything to my crusher bot, mainly after finding the linear actuator and dewalt combo

i fitted everything and tested the linear actuator on the bench, then plug it all into my robot and re-wired. However after a short period of time checking the victor 885 was doing as desired (it was), i lost all power to the victor controller and therefore linear actuator, the weird thing is the fan went as well which has separate power wires. but the main LED power light stayed on.

this has really confused me and can't work out a cause, i changed the motor to see if it was that but no same thing.... fine then....dead

i removed the link and replugged and it stayed dead, but i came back to it the next day and it worked but then everything went dead again

i've checked the batteries and repaired anything i thought my cause it but still no luck

    any help on this???

    thanks guys

I had almost exactly the same problem with Stagefright

Check for bad wiring / soldered joints etc....this might be the cause of ALL your problems ...an LED doesn't need much current and may very well be on even though the fan isn't.

I'd also look at voltage drop to your receiver and get one of these.

The Victor 885 replaces the Thor 883. Improvements in FET technology and switching technology allow the Victor 885 to handle 120A continuous. The high current capacity, low voltage drop, and peak surge capacity make the Victor 885 ideal for drive motors.

This unit is compatible with standard R/C equipment using the PWM Signal Driver.

        Thanks guys,

I already use one of those thanks though woody (wouldn't work without it)

Think it must have been the power distribution took some wires off to other speedos etc and it seems ok now

        thanks for the help
