    Re: Astroflight motors

    I guess not easely.
Maybe that one or other of the more expensive RC shops has one or 2 burried under a ton of unsold expensive stuff, but that's about it.

        Re: Astroflight motors

I'm just intrested in the price, if they are cheaper than speed 900's then I'm intreasted.
Also are they better then speed 900's?
-Ed do you live in the Ipswich area as we live near to Ipswich?

          Re: Astroflight motors

          That's a little like asking I'd like a car . . . .

... is a Ferrari more than a Ford Fiesta.

A speed 900 and an Astroflight are very different beasts (although technically both PMDC motors) - Astroflights are probably circa £100 ish.

                Re: Astroflight motors

If your using them for drive you will need a vantec to control them as they are thisty on power ( which arn't cheap), you can find the specs by putting astroflight cobalt motors into google..

                  Re: Astroflight motors

The biggest difference between a speed 900 and an astroflight is weight .
The 900 is 310 gram heavier.

                        Re: Astroflight motors

the cobalt 40 is recommended 18-20 cells so will work fine on 24v. on the astroflight website it sys maximum continuous current is 35 amps for the cobalt 40 so victor 883s should work. they're going for $170 from the astroflight website although they occasionally come up on us ebay for cheaper.

PITA and Pillow torque both use astroflights on victors and never had problems, although I'd me more inclined to get a pair of 900's :P
