motors and escs

dunno what weight class these would be good for so i thought feather weight

R/C car motors are generally a bit undersized for most featherweights, they generally aren't designed to take the high currents and stalling that driving a featherweight robot - or indeed any combat robot - around brings with it, so you really want something a bit more robust (drill motors do nicely in a lot of robots and are only slightly more expensive for some basic ones, plus they come with built in gearing ;P)

You could use them but you'd have to be very careful with them really.

R/C car speed controllers on the other hand are usable but the amp ratings are not to be trusted (as a rough guide, they can actually handle about a tenth of the rated current - although the one you linked doesn't state any current ratings so tbh I'd avoid it)
