right, today i got my robot to work basiclly but it just does not turn!

then i try and turn, the motos just make a massive grinding noise. would it have something to do with the space of the wheels? its dimensions are 43cmLx43cmWx10cmH.

im trying to think of other alternitives, the wheels are about as gripless as you can get, they basiclly just hold the front up but it still just wont turn. i feel like i have tryed everything!

You're using drills yeah? Sounds like the ring gear inside the gearbox is rotating/slipping and not transferring the torque (turning force) to your wheels. If you've used grub screws in your drill modification, tighten them up and see if that helps. If you've used the O-ring method, ditch it in favour of grub screws.

i shall tighten the grub screws and see what that does. not doing anymore tonight though

i know its very last min and my design wont be the best looking but it will solve a lot of problems is ill scrap the 2 front wheels and add 2 ball casters on each side. that way they will turn just fine but it then eliminates a lot of problems

what about putting more weight above the drills? and adding some bike tire to give it some grip

they already have bike tread on, the wheels are acually leaving skid marks on the ground
