Alright guys, this doesn't apply to me as I have my armour/chasis material but might help others on a budget. I don't know how much hdpe is but I think I may have an alternative for those on a real budget. Chopping board! Me and a mate used some chopping board to make some slide gloves for longboarding about 3 years ago. I have no idea what material it is but it's very strong. I'm talking about the sort that are usually colour coded for what to cut on them. Cost like £2 for two sheets and each measured about 14 x 10 x 1.5cm. Just an idea. Think we got them from co op? Can get them anywhere though and there available in different colours or has someone beaten me to this?

That kind of chopping board is reconstituted UHMW, probably somewhere close to RG1000. It would indeed do pretty well as armour, I'd use something stiffer for a chassis especially if your chassis is being used as a structural part of a mechanism of some kind.

Meet Avenger made by Hellfire labs in Australia. Not an original idea but a proven one. I can't recall it having any problems.
