  • signal booster for victor 885

    Hi all

I need a signal booster for my victor 885 as i don't have one atm

    requirements

running on about 27 volts (not sure if this affects anything)

its for a crusher so one one channel and one victor

anywhere in UK to buy from would be better

    Thanks alex

they're only available in the US. Your voltage on the load side doesn't affect anything.

The Signal Booster cable is really simple to do! And also cheap!

Just use a Schmitt Trigger IC, like the 74HC14, and invert the signal two times. We made loads of those to use in the Touro robots, since all from Heavyweight to featherweight use Victors

BTW you can get some 74HC14 from Technobots: http://www.technobots.co.uk/acatalog/Sh ... s_228.html

Just one thing, don't tell IFI that you know that

      Cheers,
      Eduardo

Doubt that will work. The signal booster cable is needed if you're running a Victor from anything but an IFI receiver, as it uses some sort of different signal (I think that's how it works?). That Spektrum voltage booster is for a completely different purpose I think, to boost the voltage for running components.
You'd need the one from the RMP, or a homebrew method as Eduardo described
