I have a featherweight axlebot idea down on paper...basically it's got a pair of vertical jaws in-between big wheels and hubs to clamp opponents, but not really crush them. What should I power the jaws with?

Re: Good power for a clamper...

I had an idea while ago, it woudl be a fair bit of machining, but a rachet milled into one of the claws operated by a servo or solenoid locks thw jaws in place once a fast but weak motor ( like a drill motor ) has clamped the bot. Never had the money to get it machined but might be worth considering for something nice and light.

The description sounds simular to a antweight or super-antweight built by Jas once apon a time.. (well I think it was his ?? ??). It was a pair of clamping jaws with two wheels. Might be worth having alook.. maybe, oh I don't know.. what! who! where am I ???? bye! ??). It was a pair of clamping jaws with two wheels.
