  • axe weapon

I have been thinking today of possibily changing the lifter on psycho fliong to an axe weapon. The reason is becuase im getting bored of little action in a battle and i think the axe would be far better

so how do i go about making an electric axe weapon? the esc needed and the way in which the axe is prevented from becoming a spinner weapon if that makes sense.

any help woiuld be great im only trying to make it a bit more fun for myself so doesnt need to be the best setup

    cheers alex

    Re: axe weapon

I've thought about this myself on a larger scale...to stop it from travelling too far either wire up some microswitches near the axe shaft so it turns off the relay or speed controller at each end of its swing, or just let go of the Tx switch when it's gone far enough :P

ESC would depend on what motor you end up using, you can just use relays (one for forward, one for back) but if you go for an esc get one rated in excess of the stall current of the motor, because it will approach that current if it hits something and gets stuck in the armour.

                Re: axe weapon

A 300W scooter motor with an 80:11 reduction and driven at 24V. I use a Victor 883 to control the axe so I return the weapon at a slower speed and also tap that weapon on the floor before the fight. The machette is pretty light but I also use a 2kg sledge hammer which is rather too heavy. I prefered my 1.5kg log splitter but I snapped the handle.
