Regarding my featherweight...
Kody,
I would go for drill motors for drive, personally. They are powerful, light, relatively cheap and also come with the gearbox attached so you don€™t have to go about making one. I use four 14.4v drill motors in OverDrive, which makes its quite fast and powerful. It depends how much you want to spend, but drill motors are a proven drive motor for featherweights. From my own experience with them, they are the way to go. You could also go for alternatives such as http://technobots.co.uk/acatalog/Onl...Motors_76.html

in both my robots at the moment we use drill motors, nice and cheap. If you want something a bit more powerful i suggest the speed 900s with suitable gearing lots of robots are starting to use them and i belive the ones i bought from leo were £15 each, but then you need gears etc
speedos we use electronize but i would suggest a scorpion as it is a dual controller, if your on a budget how about the Rc Smart speedos (blue) and less than £20 each. if i were you i would steer clear of the IBC i have heard they can blow easier than some controllers
Batteries, i would go with the link below i have fond them great cheap, good amps/volts and last along time
in terms of armour i use wodd, and sponsored 3mm stainless great so far really strong and can take abuse, seeing as you live in Canada i dont think it would be a great idea to put you in contact with my sponsors but if you want to i can
batteries: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8-4v-NiMH-3700mAh-Rechargeable-Battery-Vapextech_W0QQitemZ220236798506QQihZ012QQcategoryZ 2565QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8-4v-NiMH-3700...tech_W0QQitemZ 220236798506QQihZ012QQcategoryZ2565QQssPageNameZWD VWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
the above link isnt the eaxct batteries we use but just a bit more amps (even better)
hope this helps

Okay, since P&P is a real pain in the arse to go through with (that cuts out the deal with Mario :P), Im going to have to find some local places that sell HDPE. Mario himself has given me a few places but if there are any other people who would like to suggest some places near Toronto, that would be of some help.
