  • Sabretooth + magic smoke

Testing hornet 2s disc today and all was well. I got through a battery pack on the first test, waited until they cooled down and charged them again.

On the next test with a fully charge set of batteries, I inserted the link and the bot suddenly started spinning on the spot outwith my control. I made a grab for the link and tried again. Second time the magic smoke came out the sabretooth (seemed to be from the underside of the board).

    I am running 2 18v drill motors on 24v.

Anyone had similar problems or know how much a repair might be? This is the only the first time I have properly used the controller after switching from electronize.

Maybe a bad exampel of it, send it back and claim a new one for free.

I Have had a motor short out on one and it just shut down, replaced the damaged motor and everything worked OK, This is on a camera moving mount I am playing with, using 2 wiper motors.

it is on its way back to the states for investigation. Typical, trust me to be one of the first to properly blow one up!
