    Drive postions

Ive always put the wheels just behind the centre point of the robot if possible, with most of the weight over the axles (for best grip) or just infront (to keep the nose down).. keeping the wheels towards the centre also means the robot pivots around the centre of the machine (ish) so its alot quicker to do a 180 turn if someones coming to attack the back end of your machine.

Dont put you drive wheels at the front, Skink has this set up and is very twitchy and hard to steer. (easy to drive in reverse though!!!
I would suggest about 2/3 to 3/4 from the front, ie nearer the back.

Depends on the point of gravity.

A front wheel driven feather with 4 kg of hardox trailing 40 cm behind a narrow wheel base front will have issues.
Is it driving forward or backward doesnt change that fact.
