  • Name...

All right, my featherweight concept is pretty much complete, I just need a name for it and a CAD, and then I can start narrowing down stats and finding parts.

The CAD, I myself can do. Ive improved greatly using Rhino3D over the past year (SolidWorks is too complicated for me )

As for the name, I cant think of a good one at the moment. When I get the CAD done, Ill put it up on my profile. Can you guys think of a good name for it?

    Would really appreciate it.

build it first, name it last.

Excellent CAD, thats basically what the finished product will look like.

...although Ill have to seriously think about the name you suggested.

Uhmmm... what sprang into my mind when I first looked at the piccie was... Swirl.
What next started invading my poor innocent mind was:
                  cantilever
                  cantifeather
                  leverer
                  bow-wow

I agree with WJ. Worry about the name later, get it built first!

If you want to go for the whole Its such a powerful flipper that the other robots will be thrown up in the air, therefore I shall choose a name connected with height you could go for something like:

ALTITUDE (also the name of a bar in my student union )
Cheesy slogan to go with your bot: Got that high-flying feeling?!

Or what about AZIMUTH. It can be defined as to do with angles in relation to the north, polar co-ordinates etc etc but in this case it could be the angle of the other robots from the floor after youve flipped em!

Jamie I like that name. Altitude sounds right awesome. Ill seriously consider that one.
