The FRA is planning to hold a one day course for new (and not so new!) builders covering basic electrical theory and practice for use in combat robots.
This will be a free one day course held at FRA HQ in Daventry and will cover things like battery types and selection for different applications, cable types and specifications, best practice for wiring up your robot, simple circuits, interferance suppresion Etc.
The course would also include some basic electrical theory plus a question and answer session were you might like to bring up any problems you may be having with your own machine. (bring it with you if you wish)
If you feel that such a course may be of use to you, please let us know.
Geoff Smith
Chairman FRA.
