  • Changing battery connectors and drill motor

    hi all

when i recieve some anderson connectors i have ordered, i plan to changing the connectors on my nimhs and nicads from tamiya to anderson. is there anything i need to be aware of? or are they as simple as say an anderson link?

also will a 14.4v be able to run on over 24volts or is that to high?

    thanks alex

You should have no probs with the Andersons.

Well ... Im afraid its one of those questions that cant really be answered with a yes or no.

It is pushing it a little ...but it might be fine ....on the other hand ...it might not.

not if you keep them electrically isolated from one another.

Electricity will only flow and create a spark if there is a path to follow.

If youre talking about a spark when hooking up the batteries to the speed controller or when putting the link in this is perfectly normal most of the time - the spark is just a current rush charging up the rather large on board capacitors of most speed controllers.
