im running 4 12v drill mootors on 2x 8.4volts with electronize speedos, but its not working

all i get is a groaning sound and no movement, the batteries are charged and i tried othe packs in there (lower volts) and it worked fine

    Any ideas?

    Problem

It is your batterys you should try cycling them a few times discharge them then recharge them a couple of times.

        Problem

The only problem is, if you cant discharge the packs because they dont work in the robot, then you wont be able to cycle them properly.

Even if the batteries do need cycled, they should have enough power in them to turn the wheels, especially if youve charged them once already.

If youve got a multimeter handy, check the voltage across the terminals of the batteries to make sure there isnt a fault in the battery packs first of all.

            Problem

Try each 8.4v pack by itself in the bot .. you should be able to tell if you have one that is dead.

              Problem

i havent had chance yet to try each battery on its own yet, but if the was a bad connection or lose tage within the pack, would i be getting a voltage reading? because i am

                Problem

removed the speed controllers from the equation completely and connect the motors directly to the batteries. You will be able to guage if its the batteries by how long the motors run unloaded for.

If they run fine for a good 10minutes unloaded then it will probably be the controllers.

                  Problem

i try it but i have had it running with lower voltage packs, so wouldnt that rule out the speedos?

                    Problem

It may or it may not rule out the speedos. The important thing is that you will have a better idea of where the problem lies.

                        Problem

i tried running a motor direct to each battery fine, then to both fine, could it be my speedos cant handle the voltage?

i use elctronize, think its these RC speed control Microprocessor 15A

                          Problem

Up to 24V the 15A electronizes should be fine.

                            Problem

i have recently needed to take out to sets of mounts and motors, so decided to try psycho ram with the 8.4v batteries again. it seems to work two motors

i tries something Mr Stu suggested seeing if the voltage dropped when pushing throttle and it did, any ideas?
