      Yes its fine.
Youll need a pressure regulator with it.

The CO2 filling issue is easy. Or you fill the bottle at the event, or at home from a storage bottle.

If the size is useable depends on the use. Some feathers can use the 12 or even 9 oz bottles.

In Hannibalito I or II we use the 12 oz bottle.

The size of the bottle you will want depends on the ammount of gas your flipper will use/need.

Paintball bottles come in many sizes from 3.5oz all the way thro to 24oz.

                    Advice on CO2 bottle

The ram has a 16cm stroke and a 2cm bore,(pic in profile) this is my first try at making a robot so im unsure as to what pressure would suit best, any advice would be very helpful.

                          Advice on CO2 bottle

Pressure ratings are usually 10 bar.
                          You have a ram ...
Youll need a buffer tank together with a 5/2 or 3/2 valve (double acting OR single acting cylinder ) all rated @ 10 bar or more to go with your co2 cylinder, regulator and pressure relief valves one High pressure ( 1000psi) and one low pressure.

Make a weight guesstimatiion before buying everything .....you may find it difficult to get down to the 12kg limit.

only a 10 tonne heavyweight setup which is too powerful!!!

daniel has a 5/2 high flow 3/8 valve which was in thor on robot wars, a festo buffer, regulator, ram everything part from the co2 bottle, just get a 9 or 12oz paintball bottle

was a good setup in testing got alpha bout 7ft in air
