Stick a couple of failsafes (FS1, mtroniks etc) in between the servo and receiver, program them so that they failsafe with the servo touching neither switch, and ba-da-bing ba-da-boom, you got yourself a bang bang system that failsafes

Actually that second one is cheaper as well as having more Ah

Its got a higher postage certainly but since the price of the battery is not as much as the 2.1Ah one, it works out cheaper overall for the higher capacity battery

                        Im Back

Id be cautious of buying batteries from like these they will only casue problems, better to pay the extra few quid and get a known good one. cpc.co.uk do some good priced lead acid batteries that you be sure are in date.

The second one looks dodgy as a 12V battery that only reads 12V when not under load is nakered. The first is from a sercurity firm so even they claim its new the chances are its old stock and Pb batteries only have a limited shelf life.

Stock number BT00101 from CPC is £15.86 including VAT, same type as the first and if you spend over £40 delevery is free. Both Farnell and RS do the same battery and you can check what the postage costs are. Not sure but farnell used to do free delivery without minimum orders but this might have changed.

Ant, Ive got several similar SLAs 12V 2.8Ah or whatever they are. Old but you can have them if you want, not going to post them however but I will bring them to the next event.

buy 2 7.2v nicads from a modelshop and take some cells out there something round 15 quid and will last ages and could be used to another robot in the future

                            just a thought...
