  • Australian Compitition

How many people would be interested in coming to a compitition here in Australia. We looking at the event being the week leading to 20th of September. Open to all feather weights and non-spinner lightweights, and since it is Australia there we be no problem with international rules.
Consider this event to be 80% confirmed at this stage.

    Daniel,
Thanks for taking the time to post this offer.
May I sugest that once you have the event 100% confirmed that you post all the details in the Live Events section of our forum.
You will need to confirm that you are happy to accept robots that are built to the current FRA build rules without futher modification.
I would also presume that as you run to RFL rules, you will be allowing featherweights the full 13.6Kg weight limit?

    Geoff Smith.
    Chairman FRA.

It is 80% because all we need is the arena and builders. We have the venue, insurance and possibly even live radio coverage. I was looking for a general number of people who would be interested that I can send to the guy who is excited about hosting it. Something along the lines of 26 Australian robots, 4 yanks and 2 poms would be good. We follow the RFL rules for weight, the FRA rules for pneumatics and a mixture for everything else. So it would be 13.6kg.
And wed probably post the event on the builders database rather then here due to its user friendliness.

Daniel, very few (If any) of the UK teams use the builders database. If you are serious about wanting any UK teams at your event, it also needs to be posted on this forum.
I have a fair bit of spare time this year so you never know, this pom and his Sheila may just have to come down under to educate our poor colonial cousins in the finer points of robotic combat!!
