that helps alot, cheers. where im at, at the moment tomorrow im buying some cheap challenge 9.6v cordless drive from argos £9.99 each x 2. im planning on building a 2 wheel flipper bot. i took apart an old cordless drill lying in the garage to see whats inside. i presume when i take one of these challenger drills apart i will have the same. which was the motor, the torgue adjuster and the chuck on the end. it all came out in one piece.will i be mounting the whole thing or do you remove certain bits? im sorry if i go over old ground guys. also im planning on using nicad r/c batterys, what sort of voltage should i use on these motors? and would these things be powerful enough as they look a bit small (being used to bosch 750w on my heavy doesnt help!)im hoping to build a diary of every stage as feathers are completely new to me and to help anyone for the future, i just want to make sure im building something that will perform ok.

          Adrian.
Im working abroad next week, but after that (20th onward would be best for me) you are more than welcome to pop up to my workshops in Wrexham and have a good look inside a few different featherweights. I have a lot of different solutions and motor/controller combinations for you to have a look at, and try out to see how they perform.

Here is another 127 pages of featherweight building experience from down-under: http://www.robowars.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=74&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start= 0http://www.robowars.org/forum/viewto...der=asc&start= 0

Handy if you want to build a spinner, use parts from Whyachi, weld aluminuim, use titanium and endless other topics.
