Having had no end of problems with microCHIPs drive motors Ive now gone with drill motors. Im fitting in a pair of James Coopers drill motors. So far so good. Ive also mounted the big pulley on the hardox disk. See profile pic

Soon we could have a rumble with only robots using Christians Hardox disks...!

MicroCHIPs looking very swish Rob, btw what was the drive motors ment to be before you changed to the drill motors.

window motors Chris. They were heavy and hard to secure to a wheel and a bit slow.

Ah its all the best youve fitted some drill motors then. Im keeping an eye on the Team Whyachi and the cheaper BaneBots planetary gear motors but for the moment im sticking with my own modified drill gearboxes.

The disc worked great it cut a 1mm deep hole in my 4mm hardox on Dragon 2 with 1 hit. But he had drive proplems so did not do well spent most of the time trying to fix the drive. The HTIs worked great he controlled it with a 30amp Elextronize with external relays.
